A Kurt Westergaard Cartoon that Wilders will not publish on his Website [EN]

Some days ago, Kurt Westergaard, one of the Danish cartoonists who published, 2006, the so-called "Mohammad-Cartoons", was attacked at his home, by a Somalian Islamist. Westergaard was not injured and the loony perpetrator has been arrested by the Danish police. Westergaard was the author of the cartoon featuring a man with a bomb in his turban.

The whole international scene of Islam-bashers and fear-mongers immediately jumped upon the welcome opportunity, to illustrate their loony ideology once again. Mr. Wilders could not afford to miss the occasion either, and published some of the Danish cartoons (again) on his website.

But 73 year old Kurt Westergaard is not a political friend of Mr. Wilders' ideas. When the peroxide blond agitator launched his youtube movie "Fitna" in March 2008, Westergaard attacked Wilders in Court for having used his turban-cartoon in the movie, without asking the author. And that was not a mere conflict of copyright and money. Westergaard made clear, that in his opinion, Wilders was not a defender of free speech and free art. The cartoonist did not want to be associated with Wilders' islamophobic agitation. Wilders had to make a new version of his hate-product, leaving Westergaard's cartoon out.

Around that time, Westergaard made his view on Wilders extremely explicit with the above drawing, showing Wilders with an Islamic bomb hidden in his well-known white wig. The Dutch Ambtenaar.blog.nl rightly states that this Danish Westergaard cartoon will not so soon appear on Wilders' website!

For Wilders is known to react like Bin Laden or Udo Ulfkotte at political criticism or artists' jokes about him. Recently, he deemed Dutch Minister van der Laan "an ally of Muslim terrorism", when the man explained that Mr. W. is a danger to democracy. No freedom of expression for the Dutch Government, when Wilders is concerned. And some weeks ago, he had a court condemn a (Surinamic) Rotterdam rapper to a fine and community work, because of a satirical text about his oh so vulnerable person.
