Comments on Dutch elections [EN] [FR] [DE]

The impact on Europe of yesterday's elections in Holland is studied in three contributions to my At Home in Europe blog at Euractiv. To keep you updated: Finally the right-wing conservative-liberal party VVD got a tiny lead over the social-democrats: 31 deputies to 30, out of 150.

Wilders' PVV mock of a political party climbed to 24 deputies, and cannot be ignored at the dealings to form a next government. Winner VVD will have to decide if it will wage a coalition with the PVV and the CDA, with a minimal majority of 76 out of 150 deputies, or compromise with the center (christian democrats and social-democrats) for a more stable government.

More on Dutch politics, soon.
